Housing Pierce County (HPC), also known as the Pierce County Housing Authority (PCHA), is a municipal corporation that serves the residents of Pierce County, and principally those living outside the city limits of Tacoma. We administer the federal Housing Choice Voucher program for Pierce County, as well as own and operate affordable housing both with and without federal subsidy programs.

Families Participating in the Housing Choice Voucher Program

HPC supports families through a variety of Voucher programs, including the Veterans Affairs Supported Housing (VASH) program and the Non-Elderly Disabled (NED) Voucher program.

HPC owns Low Income Housing Tax Credit communities, USDA 515 Rural Developments, Project-Based Voucher communities, and non-subsidized general affordable housing in Pierce County.
